A quick update for today, showing what I’ve built recently and what projects are still ongoing.
I’ve finally gotten around to undercoating the Bombshell Babes, but they still haven’t been started yet (I’ve been too lazy to get out my paintbrushes and do detail work).
Except for the diving girl – I had some bronze left over from doing Napoleonics (buckles, buttons, and badges), so I did some of her metalic sections to use up the paint.
Remember the Infinity box I bought in a moment of weakness earlier this year? Yeah, they’re still not done. At least they’re assembled and undercoated… and the spec ops guy on the right which I’ve been saving for a while, because I originally wanted to do a really good job on him…
I’ve still got a whole heap of Napoleonic Britihs Infantry to undercoat and/or paint up – there’s more in another tray elsewhere too. I’m now asking myself why I decided to start this project…
Although it is progressing slowly but surely, as I get a few soldiers done at a time.
Finally, here’s the 40k stuff that I’ve built in the last few weeks but haven’t undercoated yet. 12 Valhallans and a commissar I got on ebay for not much, a few more marines for my deathwatch force, a converted hellhound (I sold the original fuel tanks to a friend, so I decided to do up the back in a similar style to the Forge World Artemia pattern one), and an addition to an old project (which I still haven’t posted up here, silly me!) hiding at the top right.
The aforementioned Deathwatch honour guard, which I’m pretty pleased with (hopefully they’ll look really good once all the details are painted up). They’re mostly using the new Sternguard box, which has some very nice parts, along with random power weapons for various sources and boltguns from 2nd ed 40k and forgeworld (as I wanted them to look special, but different from the actual Sternguard Deathwatch who have bolters with special ammo). The guy on the right with the thunder hammer is the chapter champion, and I stuck the eagle decoration on his backpack to make him stand out a bit more.
So, that’s what – miniatures wise at least – I’ve got going on at the moment. I’ve just started on some more terrain which I’ll be giving to my local club – I got bored and wanted to build a few things – which I’ll be posting about during the week.
